Refer a Friend

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions govern the Refer a Friend Programme.

The Promotion

1. Anyone in the UK aged 18 and over can participate in the Promotion. To become a referrer (“Referrer/s”), you must have completed either Estate Planning, Funeral Planning, or Secure Document Storage work with Oak Shields. Once registered, you’ll receive a link which can be shared with friends and family (“Friends”) who aren’t Oak Shields customers and who are happy to be referred by you.
    
2. Friends must use the Referral Code that you share with them to make their purchase, alternatively, you must complete a referral form via the Oak Shields website. GDPR consent from Friends must be obtained before submitting a form to Oak Shields.
    
3. Once the friend has made a Qualifying Purchase (Selected Estate Planning or Value Funeral Plan+ directly with Oak Shields), a confirmation will be emailed to the referrer.
    
4. Once the friend passes the validation process after making a Qualifying Purchase, an email will be sent to both the referrer containing the reward.
    
5. For every friend you refer (who makes a Qualifying Purchase and passes the validation process), you will receive a £25 Gift Certificate of your choice. Current available gift cards include Amazon, Love2Shop, and M&S.
    
6. Third party terms and conditions may apply to the £25 gift certificate, for more information on this, please visit the shops independant gift card T&Cs.

1. In the event of fraud, abuse, and/or an error affecting the proper operation of the promotion, Oak Shields reserves the right to end or suspend the promotion; and/or amend these terms and conditions.
    
2. Users’ personal data will be collected, stored and processed for the purposes of administering and assessing the Promotion. Oak Shields will comply with all requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.

Qualifying Purchases

1. A ‘qualifying purchase’ is the successful completion of a friends Complex Will, Trust Will, and/or LPAs, Value Funeral Plan, or a plan exceeding the value of a Value Funeral Plan,  from Oak Shields.
    
2. The Promotion isn’t valid if redeemed in conjunction with any other promotional offer or incentive.
    
3. The validation process requires the referred friend to have paid both their interim and final bill. Oak Shields reserves the right to verify the eligibility of clients. In the event that a friend purchases only a Value+ Funeral Plan, the validation process and period will be increased to 90 days after the plan is accepted and paid for. This is to prevent clawbacks and lost revenue in the event of a cancellation.
    
4. The Promotion excludes: Secure Document Storage, Parental Responsibility Agreements, and Basic Single Wills. No third party entries, bulk entries or entries submitted by agents will be accepted.

The Promotion

To receive the  Discount, Donations, or Cashback promotional offers (“Promotion”), you must provide Oak Shields with your promotional code at the point of first contact. Promotional Codes are obtained by clients via marketing campaigns ran by Oak Shields across digital and traditional marketing platforms. Oak Shields reserves the right to decline the acceptance of promotional codes once work on  Estate Planning, Funeral Planning, or Secure Document Storage has commenced, assuming the client has not yet provided one.
    
2. You must use or state the Promotional Code that you have found at the point of your initial enquiry enquiry via either the Oak Shields website, or telephone agent.
    
3. Once you have completed a Qualifying Purchase (Selected Estate Planning or Value Funeral Plan+ directly with Oak Shields), a confirmation will be emailed to you.
    
4. Once you pass the validation process after making a Qualifying Purchase, an final email will be containing the reward, or confirmation of donation.

3. The validation process requires you to have paid both your interim and final bill. Oak Shields reserves the right to verify your eligibility.
